TIPS ON MEASURING FOR CARPET
To find the area of the room you want to carpet, you'll need to measure the length and width in feet, rounding to the nearest foot. These two numbers are then multiplied together in our calculator, giving you the square footage of carpet to buy. If your room is irregularly shaped, then divide the room into more easily measured areas, calculate the area of each area separately, and add the areas together.
To use the stairway calculator, you'll need to measure the width in feet of your stairwell, rounding off to the nearest foot. Then, our calculator will provide you with the number of yards needed to cover the stairs, including the treads and risers.
